The Certificate II in Business (BSB20107) is a government-accredited, nationally recognised course, developed under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

During the course the student will gain insight into the tasks and behaviour required in the operation of business or office environment and will develop skills in:

Course Duration Certificate II in Business (BSB20107)

The duration of Certificate II in Business at GCLC is 16 weeks of classes with 4 weeks of holidays.

The course is delivered over 4 terms with 4 weeks of classes per term.

Each block has 2 subjects which must be completed on campus.

The remainder of the subjects are flexible delivery subjects that students can complete in their own time with assessment measuring performance. This style of delivery is based on competency rather than attendance, which suits students who are busy working and enjoying their life outside the college.

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency for Domestic students.

International students* must meet the relevant English language entry requirements of the course as follows:

  • Current GCLC students assessed at Intermediate level or higher;
  • The equivalent of Australian Secondary School Grade 10;
  • English proficiency level requirement: IELTS 4.5 or equivalent;
  • Or at the discretion of the GCLC Dean or Academic Manager.

Outcome

Graduates of the Certificate II in Business course receive the nationally accredited award BSB20107.

To successfully complete the course students must receive a grade of C (competent) in all 12 subjects. Students can then choose to enrol in Certificate III in Business Administration or enjoy working in this field.
