The duration of Certificate IV in Business at GCLC is 23 weeks of classes with 3 weeks of holidays.

The course is delivered over 3 terms (2 terms of 7 weeks and 1 term of 9 weeks).

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency for Domestic students. 

International students* must meet the relevant English language entry requirements of the course as follows:

  • Current GCLC students assessed at Intermediate level or higher;
  • The equivalent of Australian Secondary School Grade 10;
  • English proficiency level requirement: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent;
  • Or at the discretion of the GCLC Dean or Academic Manager. 

Outcome

Graduates of the Certificate IV in Business course receive the nationally accredited award BSB40207.

To successfully complete the course students must receive a grade of C (competent) in all 10 subjects. Students can then choose to enrol in the Diploma of Business, other training packages or enjoy working in this field.

Pathways

Upon completion of the Certificate IV in Business (BSB40207), students may choose to enrol in the Diploma of Business (BSB50207).
